Sheriff’s department investigates jewelry store robbery in Coachella

UPDATE 9:31 a.m.:

Police released a suspect description in the jewelry store robbery: Hispanic man, 18-22 years old, 5’6, 125 lbs., thin build.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating an armed robbery at a jewelry store in Coachella.

According to Deputy Munoz, of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a man entered a store, located on the 50-000 block of Harrison Street in Coachella, armed with a gun, around 5:35 p.m. Wednesday.

The robber took an undisclosed amount of money and jewelry from the store before leaving on foot.

The Sheriff Department would not confirm the name of the store, but deputies were on scene at Don Victor Jewelers investigating.

Sheriff investigators are on scene, and a search is underway in the area for the robber. If you witnessed anything you are asked to call Crimestoppers at (760) 341-STOP.
