Two Californians busted for “apartment gambling”
Fresno authorities have arrested two people they say were running an illegal gambling operation out of an apartment.
The Fresno Bee reports that Fresno County sheriff’s spokesman Tony Botti says a 46-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were running four video slot machines and several computers set up for gambling inside a bedroom in central Fresno. He says members of the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium found money inside the machines.
Both people were charged with illegal operating gambling machines.
They were also arrested in August for running a similar casino at another home.
