Masked man robs Palm Springs bank

The Palm Springs Police Department is searching for a man who robbed the Pacific Premier Bank Friday afternoon.

Officers were called to the bank at 901 East Tahquitz Canyon Way just after 2:30 p.m. Officers said the man was wearing a long sleeve shirt and a costume mask. When he entered the bank, he pulled a handgun on one of the tellers and ran off with an unknown amount of money.

Police said he ran southwest from the bank. He still hasn’t been found and detectives are investigating the robbery.

News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 arrived to the bank Friday afternoon and it was closed while officers were on scene.
