Pedestrian hit, killed by train in Mecca
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept. confirmed a person died after being hit by a train in Mecca Saturday night. It happened at 4th St and Grapefruit Blvd around 9:30 p.m.
Trains have been stopped in both directions, but vehicle traffic is not affected.
No word on the victim’s identity, but the sheriff’s department is investigating and said there was no sign of foul play.
