Cities improve infrastructure to contend with El Nio
Some would say El Nio has thus far been a bust here in Southern California, but that’s not the case since January 1. Palm Springs International Airport has received 2.26″ of rain which is more than an inch above normal.
In previous years, that would have caused significant flooding and snarled traffic, but valley cities have been prompt in responding to El Nio rainfall threats and have made the valley safer with vast improvements to infrastructure.
CBS Local 2 Chief Meteorologist Patrick Evans shows you what Public Works crews are doing to weather the potential storms and keep you safe on the road this winter.
