Rancho Mirage crash under investigation

Gerald Ford is back open Saturday after a rollover crash shut the street down Friday night.

Police arrested 26-year-old Jesse Cota of Palm Desert, for driving under the influence of either alcohol or drugs.

The crash shut down Gerald Ford around 9:30 Friday night after a black Honda Civic side-swiped another car.

Cota was driving the black Honda.

Two people were inside the other car when it lost control and crashed into a tree in the median.

They were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Cota was not injured in the crash, he is currently being held at the Indio County jail.
