Man taken down by police K-9 in foot pursuit in Indio Hills

A man with a felony warrant out for his arrest is in custody after he was taken down by a police K-9 during a foot pursuit in the Indio Hills community. Authorities identified the man as 31-year old Jesus Beltran of Pacoima, CA.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 26-800 block of Dollar Road around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Beltran tried to run-off and deputies were able to catch him with the help of a helicopter and a K-9 in a wash area near Western Avenue and Dillon Road.

News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 caught the arrest on video as the man was loaded into an ambulance. There’s no word on the extent of his injuries.
