Police car hit during Palm Springs crash

Palm Springs police officers have cleared an accident that happened a little before noon on Dinah Shore Drive and Crossley Road. Officers said two vehicles collided, and then one of the cars ended up hitting a police cruiser that happened to be stopped at the intersection.

Authorities said a truck hit a sedan, causing it to spin and hit the patrol car. The officer wasn’t hurt, and the driver of the sedan was treated at the scene minor pain.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Our crew at the scene said it looked like the crash involved an 18-wheeler and a BMW. Traffic was affected for about an hour before the road was cleared.
