Clinton, Sanders both campaign in Riv. Co. Tuesday
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and fellow Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders will be making appearances in Riverside Tuesday, two weeks before the California primary.
What the Sanders campaign has dubbed “A Future to Believe In” rally will be held at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium, with doors opening at noon.
A large crowd is expected at the auditorium whose capacity is roughly 1,400.
Riverside police announced that Lime Street, between Mission Inn Avenue and Sixth Street, will be closed to foot and vehicular traffic from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lemon Street, between Sixth and Mission, will be closed to vehicles from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Sanders is also expected to rally at the National Orange Show Events Center (689 S E St.) in San Bernardino at 7:00 p.m.
Clinton is slated to appear for a rally at UC Riverside at 3:30 p.m.
According to campus spokeswoman Bettye Miller, the Clinton camp is renting the Johnson Family Practice Center, a gym and athletic training facility that has space to seat 700 comfortably.
On Wednesday, Bernie Sanders is expected to rally at Big League Dreams in Cathedral City at 10:00 a.m.
