Thousands download Palm Canyon Drive app

Looking for something to do around town? Need some ideas of where to go and what to eat? The Palm Canyon Drive App can help you with all of that.

“So instead of going to all the banners, the website, the pop-up screen, this is what bypasses all of that. So it makes it efficient, because 90 percent of people are using a mobile phone for everything,” said Zaino Mizani, the creative director for Mizani Media.

Mizani launched the app in January, and since then, it’s blown up. Nearly 200,000 people have downloaded the app. They’re calling it a mobile concierge, where people can book tee times, dinner reservations and find a hotel room all in one place.

“It’s just check the icon, click there, get the location, all in the bottom. So we’re trying to simplify your life,” Mizani said.

Businesses featured on the app said they’ve seen an increase in business since joining.

“My traffic is up 50 percent. The video that Zaino produced for me has had over 11,000 views,” said Brian Marki the owner of Brian Marki Fine Art and Framing.

Businesses can even choose to have a video made for the app’s YouTube channel.

“Most recently, we introduced a video for our happy hour, and its received well over 26,000 views in a very short time,” said Willie Rhine, the co-owner of 849.
