Palm Springs police release DUI checkpoint statistics

Palm Springs Police Department has released statistics on its latest DUI checkpoint. The PSPD checkpoint screened 431 vehicles Friday night.

No drivers were arrested for DUI alcohol or drug impairment and nine drivers were cited for operating a vehicle without a license or with a suspended license.

The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, reminding everyone to “report drunk driver – call 911.”
