North Palm Springs woman charged for stalking ex-husband after calling 72 times in 5 hours
A North Palm Springs woman was charged today with felony stalking and multiple counts of a violating a restraining order after police say she allegedly phoned her ex-husband 72 times in less than five hours.
Lisa Gonzalez, 39, is accused of making the calls on May 22 between 8:51 a.m. and 1:24 p.m., despite being prohibited from contacting her ex in person or via telephone due to a domestic violence restraining order.
Gonzalez is also charged with misdemeanor domestic violence in a separate case for the alleged assault, in which she accused of striking her ex-husband and the couple’s daughter.
The victim told police that he answered five of the May 22 calls, then told Gonzalez to stop calling or he would call the police, according to an arrest warrant declaration.
In addition to felony stalking and stalking with an active restraining order, Gonzalez was charged Thursday with two counts of domestic violence, four counts of violating a court order to prevent domestic violence, vandalism and making harassing phone calls.
