3 children hospitalized after minivan I-10 crash
Three children were taken to JFK Hospital with minor injuries after a minivan rolled off of westbound I-10 Thursday afternoon between Box Canyon and Chiriaco Summit. The crash happened just before 3 p.m.
Nobody was ejected from the vehicle during the accident. California Highway Patrol officers said the van traveled about 60 feet off the roadway. There was a total of five children in the van and one adult driver, officers said.

KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2’s Alex Cheney was at the scene of the crash where he saw a boy being taken into an ambulance on a stretcher.

The minivan was heavily damaged in the crash. Traffic wasn’t heavily impacted as the van ended up so far off the road, but traffic was slowing a bit in the area as people drove past the wreck.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
