Man arrested for trying to rob 17-year-old at gunpoint in Bermuda Dunes
An 18-year-old man was arrested for allegedly trying to rob a 17-year-old at gunpoint inside the Bermuda Park Apartments in Bermuda Dunes Monday night. The alleged attempted robbery happened on Washington Street & Emerald Crest Drive at about 4:15 p.m.

According to police, two Hispanic males tried to rob the teenager while he was walking inside the apartment complex. The victim managed to get away from the suspects and called authorities to report the incident.
Aaron Sanchez, an 18-year-old from Bermuda Dunes, was arrested in the area shortly after and was booked into the Indio jail for attempted robbery, officers said in a news release. There is still one juvenile suspect on the run.

According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Armando Munoz, a victim called 911 stating that an armed man broke into his apartment and tried to rob him. Deputies arrived at the apartment complex to investigate.
A short time later, deputies began asking a suspect to come out of another apartment in the complex by using a loud speaker, the man exited the apartment and was detained, Deputy Munoz told KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2.
