A Palm Springs resident could be the first openly-gay appointee of the Trump Administration.
Richard Grenell is a Log Cabin Republican and openly-gay politician. President Trump announced late Friday night that he intends to nominate Grenell to be ambassador of Germany. The nomination would need to be approved by the U.S. Senate.
KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 reached out to Grenell for comment and are waiting to hear back.
