La Quinta Costco shoplifting suspect arrested
Police placed an alleged shoplifter into custody after he allegedly robbed the Costco in La Quinta.
Our crew spoke with witnesses and they say the man had a shopping cart full of items outside the store. Employees believed he had stolen the items and called the police.
That is when the man became agitated and allegedly brandished a knife that he had in the shopping cart and threatened employees.
The man ran away when police arrived and was eventually detained after hiding in a gated community on Desert Willow Street.
