Car topples off bridge, plummets down flooded wash moments after rescue
Palm Springs’ Mayor Robert Moon rode along with officers from the Palm Springs Police Department Saturday as they patrolled the area for stranded cars in flooded waters.
One car found near Golf Course Drive was submerged several feet underwater and was surrounded by fast rushing water. A young woman and boy were found inside the car.
Mayor Moon says moments after the rescue the car toppled off the bridge and was dragged down the wash.
This serves as another reminder to turn around, don’t drown.
