“Suspicious” box found in Palm Desert

Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies were on scene, where a suspicious box was found near a parking structure on the 73-300 block of El Paseo, close to San Pablo and Shadow Mountain in Palm Desert.

The call about the box around 2:45 Thursday morning.

At one point, investigators were waiting for a bomb squad to help with the investigation.

Shortly after 7:00 am, a sheriff’s department spokesman told us investigators concluded the box did not pose a threat.

Investigators did not say what was inside the box.
