Yucca Valley man arrested for lewd acts with a child

A 46-year-old Yucca Valley man has been arrested on suspicion committing lewd acts with a 13-year-old girl, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

On March 23 at 1:20 a.m., Sheriff’s dispatch received a 911 text message from the 13-year-old victim who claimed to be a run-away from Sacramento who was touched while she was touched by a Eddie Lowery, while staying in his Yucca Valley residence.

Deputies responded to the residence on the 7200 block of Inca Trail in Yucca Valley and found Lowery hiding under his mobile home. Lowery was taken into custody without incident.

Following interviews with the victim and Lowery, Lowery was arrested on a charge of committing lewd acts with a child and booked in Morongo Basin Jail. He is being held on $250,000 bail.

The victim was removed from the missing persons system and transferred into the care of Child and Family Services.
