Early morning earthquake jolts Idyllwild
The USGS says a 3.4 earthquake hit Idyllwild Friday morning. It happened at 5:33 a.m.
A viewer who lives in Palm Desert behind El Paseo reported feeling a good jolt that shook the house.
USGS says it was about 3 miles south of Idyllwild and 11 miles deep.
Another 1.8 tremor hit the area 2 minutes after this initial quake.
