Fire destroys La Quinta home

Firefighters worked overnight to contain a structure fire in La Quinta.

The blaze was reported shortly before 1:00 a.m. at a home on Avenida Vallejo.

A neighbor, Alvaro Luna, told KESQ News Channel 3 / CBS Local 2 News a home was destroyed in the fire, and its roof was completely burned.

There were no reports of any injuries or any details on what may have caused the fire.

KESQ News Channel 3 / CBS Local 2 News was told a lot of pets that lived in the home were also rescued.
