All lanes open after I-10 rollover crash, man taken into custody

All lanes have reopened on Interstate 10 westbound in Rancho Mirage after a rollover collision.

The accident happened just before noon and involved two vehicles, a Chevrolet Cobalt and Toyota Highlander. One vehicle rolled over as a result of the collision.

The drivers sustained minor injuries. The driver of the red car which rolled over was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.

The accident initially caused extensive congestion and lane closures. Traffic is still slowed in the area.
