Three people saved in Desert Hot Springs water rescue

Cal Fire/Riverside County Firefighters successfully rescued three people stuck trapped by flood waters in Desert Hot Springs.

At around 1:13 PM, firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle in water at Two Bunch Palms Trail and Little Morongo Road.

Firefighters confirmed seeing a vehicle in the water with three victims inside.

The vehicle occupants were taken to safety at around 2:35 p.m. It is not clear at this time if they sustained injuries during the incident.

At around 9:10 AM, a Cal Fire helicopter crew rescued two people who were trapped on the roof of their vehicle tor due flooding in Cabazon.

Authorities advise drivers to obey closed road signs. Remember, if a road is flooded, “turn around, don’t drown.”
