Roadway at HWY 243 washes away
Rain has caused the roadway on Highway 243 to washout.
A hard closure is now in effect from Hurley Flats to Interstate 10 in Banning and Saunders Meadow, according to Caltrans. Sr74 is also closed from Lake Hemet to Borco east of Valle Vista due to road loss.

Residents in Idyllwild, Mountain Center, and Pine Cove are asked to shelter in place due to unsafe, deteriorating road conditions, the county announced.
