Palm Springs City Attorney Edward Kotkin announces resignation

Palm Springs City Attorney Edward Kotkin announced his resignation at tonight’s Palm Springs City Council meeting.

Kotkin said the reason for his resignation was that he is getting married and will be moving. The resignation will be effective Thursday of next week.

During the meeting, Kotkin said he will help the city with the transition. Assistant city attorney Peter King, along with other legal staff, will continue to address daily legal matters.

Kotkin first became city attorney in April 2017.
