Crews extinguish late Wednesday night Palm Desert fire

Fire crews were able to put out a Palm Desert blaze Wednesday night in under a half hour.

The fire was reported at the intersection of Prickly Pear and El Paseo at 11:35 p.m. The fire had been ‘knocked down’ by 11:56 p.m., according to Cal Fire.

8 fire engines responded to the scene which was showing “heavy smoke” at the time of the crews’ arrival.

There were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
