2019 Warburton raises $2.2 million

The 2019 Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament has come to a close and with the tournament’s end comes the final fundraising total: $2.2 million.

The event. which raises money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, began in 2011. Since the tournament’s inception, $12 million has been raised.

“The feedback we’ve been receiving is that this year was our best event yet,” Clarke Rheney, tournament chairman and the 2017 National Volunteer of the Year for St. Jude said in a statement. “It’s a labor of love – every member of our Board is deeply passionate about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and we can’t wait to raise the bar even further for our 10th anniversary next year.”

In 2018, the tournament raised over $2.5 million.

The Warburton ran from February 28 to March 3, with four major events filling out one of the desert’s most prolific charitable events. This year, more than 75 celebrities came out for the events, including Songwriters Night, the Rheneypalooza Jam, the Soiree and the two-day golf tournament itself.

“People will have to get their tickets and golf sign-ups45 early – it’s going to sell out quickly! The Warburton is the perfect blend of celebrities, musicians, golf and unique events, which is why those who have experienced it continue to come and tell their friends about it,” Rheney continued in the statement.
