Ready for hockey season! Coachella Valley Firebirds fans enjoy preseason game at Acrisure Arena

Coachella Valley Firebird Fans are home at Acrisure Arena for a preseason game. The Firebirds will take on the Henderson Silver Knights this Sunday, October 8th, at 3 p.m. PT.

Even though it was not a packed house, the fans we spoke to said they were ready for a fun and exciting season. They say they hope to win it all this year.

"I mean, having a hockey team in the valley first of all, and having them back and just the excitement and having one big large family here in the valley means everything," says Mireya Barjas. Others say the firebirds bring everyone together.

During Friday's game, a power outage forced the team to cancel the game.
