Roads are back open after a hit-and-run crash in Thermal

The California Highway Patrol says it happened around 2 a.m. North of 64th Ave and Grapefruit Blvd those roads were temporarily shut down, they have since reopened.

When Calfire arrived, crews saw a car on its side with glass and debris in the roadway.

A person had to be extracted from the car it took Calfire several minutes to get them out and the person was then transported to a local hospital.

The extent of the person's injuries is still unknown at this time.

Both of the affected roads were shut down but they are back open.
