Hiker Rescued on Art Smith Trail in Palm Desert

PALM DESERT, Calif. — A hiker is recovering after being rescued on the Art Smith Trail.

It happened Wednesday afternoon.

Rescuers found an elderly person who had run out of energy.

They are in stable condition, and firefighters were able to bring them down safely.
