Woman dies days after being struck by a vehicle Indio
A woman struck by a vehicle Friday night in Indio has died from her injuries, police confirmed.
The crash happened at around 7:30 p.m. on Oasis Street, just south of Highway 111.
Police said a Ford Escape failed to stop for a woman in the crosswalk. The woman, a 49-year-old, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The woman was pronounced dead in the hospital on Sunday.
Police say the driver of the car remained at the scene The cause of the traffic collision is actively under investigation.
