Palm Desert mural to honor public works staff after Tropical Storm Hilary

The City of Palm Desert is honoring public safety workers for their dedication during Tropical Storm Hilary.

A mural is underway on the front wall of the corporation yard on 42nd Avenue, where city staff typically begin and end their days.

The mural, approved two weeks ago, is scheduled for completion in May.

Artist Trinity Rivard has been contracted by the city for the project.

He's based in Florida, but looks forward to creating this mural in Palm Desert.

He describes the mural as depicting "unity, community, and selflessness," reflecting the city's resilience in overcoming the storm's challenges.

Rivard invites community input for the mural. Here is a link detailing ways to get involved.
