Gradual warming through the week
A high temperature of 90° today in Palm Springs -- 4° below normal.
The rest of this evening will be quite enjoyable with clear skies, a northwest breeze and temperatures cooling into the low 80s around 8:00 p.m.
The culprit for yesterday's cooler temperatures and gusty west winds is departing to the northeast and our temperatures have already begun reacting.
A gradual warming continues through the week but with a return to temperatures that are typical for May.
Triple digits return by Sunday with even more warming after Memorial Day.
