5 injured, 3 seriously, in Coachella crash
Five people were injured after a two-car crash in Coachella Friday night.
According to Cal Fire, the crash was reported at 7:28 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 86 and Avenue 52.
Five people in total are injured. Three people suffered serious injuries and two others sustained minor injuries, Cal Fire wrote. Deputy Robyn Flores, public information officer for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, said four people in total were hospitalized, including one juvenile.
All lanes of southbound Hwy 86 were blocked for over an hour.
Flores said deputies are investigating the incident as a possible DUI crash. No other information has been released at this time.
