Brush fire at homeless encampment in Indio
Authorities are continuing an investigation this morning, into a possible fire at a homeless camp.
The fire was first reported just after 4:30 p.m. on Saturday on Monroe street, south of I-10.
CAL Fire says the flames covered an area of about 50 feet by 100 feet.
Fire crews say the blaze was out before 5:30 p.m.
A witness told authorities, the fire was at a homeless encampment.
No injuries were reported, and the investigation continues into what ignited the flames.
