Man Caught With Stolen Laptop And Flatscreen TV
DESERT HOT SPRINGS – Detectives arrested a Desert Hot Springs man who had a stolen TV in his child’s room and a stolen laptop computer in his living room.
Police had been working a burglary case since December 9 when a home on Nicole Court had been broken into, and a flatscreen TV and laptop computer were stolen.
Acting on a tip, police served a search warrant the day before Christmas Eve on Flora, where they found the stolen property, worth $2,150.
Mauro Rodriguez, who was at home at the time detectives got there, denied stealing the property, saying he bought them. But he refused to say who he bought them from.
He was taken to the Banning jail, where he’s since posted bail. Police are looking for the burglar, and any more information they can get.
