Cathedral City Store Held Up At Gunpoint

An armed robber is on the run after holding up a store in Cathedral City.

The robbery took place Saturday evening about 6:45 p.m. at the Radio Shack on the 32-200 block of Date Palm Drive.

A store clerk says a man, armed with a handgun, entered the store demanding cash. The clerk complied, and the man took the cash and ran.

Police searched the area, but nobody was found.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Asian man, about 5’7″ to 5’10”. He had on a black or blue hooded sweatshirt with dark pants and white tennis shoes. He was last seen running eastbound on Date Palm.
