EMERGENCY MISSING: Cathedral City Children Abducted During Unsupervised Visit
An Emergency Missing Advisory was issued by the California Highway Patrol Wednesday because a Palm Springs mother may have fled the state with her children after an unsupervised visit with the kids in Cathedral City.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating the children.
Authorities say her kids are under the custody of Child Protective Services.
Police tell News Channel 3 that Elizabeth Rojo, 24, took her children during her first unsupervised visit at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
The visit was supposed to last one hour at a Cathedral City McDonald’s, but instead she took the children:

Rojo’s ex-husband lives in Mexico, and has a history of domestic violence.
Rojo lost custody of her kids several years ago, after she allegedy attempted suicide while driving at high speeds in her car with her children in the vehicle, authorities said.
She was last seen driving a 1989 White Isuzu Trooper 4×4, with a California license plate number of 2PEX908.
Multiple agencies are involved in the search, including the Cathedral City Police, Border Patrol and the California Highway Patrol.
