Accident shuts down multiple lanes on eastbound I-10

A car was completely engulfed in flames in the center divider after a three car accident shut down the eastbound I-10 today. The accidentoccurredbetween the Bob Hope and Monteray exits at around 10:30 this morning,

The driver of the car that caught fire was taken to an areahospitalto treatmoderateburn injuries. Three others were also taken to the hospital with unspecified minor injuries.

Firefighters put out the fire and were able to open up the right two lanes at 11:16 a.m. while they continue to clean up the left two lanes.
