Final Modernism Week events on tap Sunday

(CNS) – Sunday is the last day to attend an event or take a tour affiliated with Modernism Week.

The design festival wraps up 11 days of events Sunday. This year, a new set of nighttime events dubbed “Modernism Week After Dark” were held, and Modernism Week was co-produced by Goldenvoice, promoter of the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals.

Modernism Week celebrates the popular design aesthetic from the 1950s and ’60s.

One of Sunday’s events is “Trina Turk and Sunnylands Chic.” Fashion designer Trina Turk will speak at the Rancho Mirage Public Library at 3:30 p.m. about the lifestyle of Walter and Leonore Annenberg and how it is reflected through design at the Annenberg estate at Sunnylands.

A cocktail reception with Turk will follow at Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage.
