Power and phone outages reported across Riverside/San Bernardino counties
Officials with Telepacific Communications said phone outages are affecting over two hundred and fifty customers and Southern California Edison is reporting power outages across Riverside County.
Telepacific said a fiber ring was cut in San Bernardino and 261 customers are without cell service.
Government buildings in the cities of Indio and Desert Hot Springs aren’t working. Palm Springs was experiencing outages early Wednesday afternoon but phones are functioning once again, city officials said.
Officials with Eisenhower Medical Center said their phones were down for awhile, but they are working once again.
Phone outages are impacting many other businesses across the Coachella Valley as well, including our stations, News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2.
Many viewers in the High Desert cities have also contacted us to let us know that phone outages have been affecting many of them for several hours throughout Wednesday afternoon.
On top of phone outages, SCE is reporting power outages due to windy conditions. Officials said 10,500 customers in Riverside County were without power.
Both companies are working to resolve the issues.
