Interstate 10 in Desert Center to partially reopen

California’s Department of Transportation plans a limited reopening today of the Interstate 10 bridge over Tex Wash. Traffic will share the two lanes on the bridge’s westbound span.

The 2 lanes are scheduled to open at noon.

The federal government is offering California $2 million in emergency funds to repair an interstate bridge over a desert gully that was knocked down by flash-flood waters.
