Child nearly drowns in Indio pool
A toddler was pulled unconscious from a backyard swimming pool in Indio Friday and taken to a hospital in serious condition.
The child, whose name was not released, was located in the residential pool shortly after 6 p.m. in the 82000 block of Arlene Court, near Janet Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Paramedics had to render life-saving aid to the tot, but no other details were provided, including how the child ended up in the pool. Indio police were handling the investigation.
