Police arrest “Baggy Eyes Bandit” wanted for bank robberies in Riverside County and elsewhere

The FBI says a man suspected of six bank robberies in Southern California has been arrested.

The San Bernardino Sun reports that Anaheim police arrested the man known as the “Baggy Eyes Bandit” after he attempted to rob a Citibank on Saturday afternoon.

The 29-year-old Artur Stepanyan of Los Angeles was charged Tuesday with two bank robberies. He was granted bond during the hearing.

Authorities have linked the “Baggy Eyes Bandit” to six bank robberies in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange counties since February.
