27th consecutive increase for gas price
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose Monday to its highest amount since Jan. 14, 2016, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $2.96.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has risen 27 consecutive days, increasing 16.4 cents, including 1.3 cents on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 4 cents more than one week ago, 16.7 cents higher than one month ago and 55.9 cents greater than one year ago.
