Desert Hot Springs to install new art sculptures

The city of Desert Hot Springs unveiled new art sculptures to be installed in the community Saturday. People gathered for the fun, free event this morning with music, food, a bounce house and a number of art vendors. D esert Hot Springs’ cultural affairs committee members say they’ve been working closely with city council members to encourage more art in the community. “In the last few years we have made a positive impact in our direction, one of which is art, placed on our main streets. So it’ll be easy to see. We’re also working on getting them in one of our parks, so it’s not something people just see as they drive by but people can go close up and appreciate them,” said cultural affairs committee member. Officials say the butterflies will be installed within the next few days.
