Fire investigated as arson in Twentynine Palms
The San Bernardino County Fire Department is investigating a fire in an abandoned building in Twentynine Palms as a possible act of arson.
Witnesses reported hearing explosions around 8:30 a.m. Friday on Yucca Avenue. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to any nearby buildings.
Investigators say a woman was seen entering the building five minutes before the fire started. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
