Desert Adventures celebrates 30 years of tours

Desert Adventures Red Jeep Tours and Events is celebrating 30 years of operation this year.

The company has been around for years but owner Bob Schneider says few locals take advantage of the tour, and they should.

“There’s so much to learn. You can learn in three hours all about the geology, the history, about the Indians, the pioneers, it’s a fantastic story,” Schneider said.

Schneider said there’s so much to learn about our own backyard.

“As you can see, the landscape around us is just spectacular. I mean what more can you say. And it’s really a wonderful opportunity for people to come and understand the desert in a better way, in terms of the ecology of it all and why it is the way it is where we live,” Schneider said.

Their flagship tour, the San Andreas Fault Tour, takes guests to three pretty cool spots.

“You’ll be taken to a palm oasis. A recreated Cahuilla Indian village, that we created on the spot of a village hundreds of years ago, to learn about the culture. And back into these slot canyons to understand the geology of the area and the beauty of it,” Schneider said.

But that’s not all they do. The company runs tours in Joshua Tree and the Indian Canyons. Schneider said they host weddings and private events right here at their venue space.

In honor of their 30 years of operation Schneider is offering $30 off their tour.
