Fundraiser planned for missing Coachella Valley couple

It’s been a long journey for two families who continue the search for a Valley couple who’ve been missing since May.

Their families have announced a fundraiser to take place Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 5 – 9:30 p.m. at Stuft Pizza at the Westfield Mall in Palm Desert. Maria Moran tells News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 a portion of the proceeds will go toward the search efforts, which include ordering and mailing out bracelets with their names and tip line number, and printing and distributing flyers.

You can RSVP to the fundraiser here.

Police believe 26-year-old Audrey Moran and 28-year-old Jonathon “Darling” Reynoso were together when the two disappeared.

Police say Moran’s car was found along interstate 10 back in May with no signs of foul play. Police dogs were able to trace a scent about 50 feet from the car.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Homicide unit took over the case halfway through the investigation.
