Ross Mathews, Salvador Camarena compete in Celebrity Family Feud
Local couple Ross Mathews and Salvador Camarena won big this Sunday on Celebrity Family Feud.
The two were competing alongside Ross’s mom, his mom’s best friend Boni and his best friend Taya. They faced off against Faith Evans and her family.
Many gathered and cheered on the family at a viewing party held at the Arrive Hotel in Palm Springs.
Ross and Salvador donated $25,000 to the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.
The shelter said the money will go a long way.
“It is a huge windfall for the shelter. We can’t thank him enough. He did an amazing job for us. That money is going to go to spaying a lot of pets, covering a lot of medical costs and helping find homes for all these animals. It’s just an incredible thing for us,” said Daniel Sumner the director of operations.
Mathews said the shelter is a special place for them. They adopted their dog, Audrey, from the Palm Springs Shelter.
“It felt so good walking in to congratulate these people who work so hard and do such an extraordinary job,” Mathews said.
After loosing their dogs Mijo and Louise this year, they wanted to dedicate their win to them.
“I wish everyone could have a Mijo and Louise in their life and I wanted to carry on their legacy that way,” Camarena said.
